A lot of speculation in academic and “popular” archaeology about skulls that are unusual in form. Many appear to have larger cranial volume than is commonly expected. Usually termed “Paracas”, Cranially Deformed, Manipulated, Elongated or “Alien” skulls, there is little in the way of objective methodology to compare and classify these unique remnants of ancient beings. These unusual skulls are found in many places around the world; Middle and South Americas, North America, Eastern Europe and elsewhere. They are often explained as manipulation of an infant’s head, by wrapping, boarding or other methods, to create a form emulating an elite or god class.
